For Organizers

What does it cost to run a fundraiser?
$149 per Camp (single-team supporter-donation fundraiser) or $249 per Tournament (multi-team commitment contest). That's the entire fee earn²keep charges — one flat launch fee, paid once at the time you activate your event. We take ZERO percentage of donations or Entry Fees. No transaction fees. No per-participant charges. No hidden setup fees. Stripe charges its own card-processing fee (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) directly — that money goes to Stripe, not to us, and is shown transparently on every receipt.
What's the difference between a Camp and a Tournament?
Camp is for a single team raising money for a cause. Participants share their personal QR codes and links with family, friends, and community supporters — anyone can donate any amount via Stripe, and the money goes to your organization. Daily challenges (push-ups, scripture, miles, etc.) are optional: participants who complete them earn eligibility for door prizes you set, but skipping them still keeps you in the fundraiser.

Tournament is for multiple teams from different organizations competing head-to-head. The Host Organizer creates the Tournament and sets a per-team Entry Fee (whatever they choose — could be $0 for friendly events, or hundreds for big competitions). Each team that wants to join pays that Entry Fee through the platform; how the joining team's organizer collects from their members is up to them, off-platform. Daily challenges are required in a Tournament, and scoring is strict: a team only earns the points for a challenge when every player on its roster completes it. The team with the highest score at the end wins the prize the host set. If two teams tie for a prize position, a sudden-death tiebreaker challenge fires automatically. There are no external supporters in a Tournament — Entry Fees are the funding mechanism.
How long can an event run?
Up to 30 days. Most groups find that 2–3 weeks is the sweet spot — long enough for momentum, short enough to keep participants engaged.
Can I run a fundraiser if I'm not a sports coach?
Absolutely. earn²keep is for any group raising money for any reason — sports is just one slice. We support a wide range of organizer roles: coach, parent, teacher, youth pastor, scout leader, gym owner/instructor, organization director, and “anyone else who leads a group.” The platform works equally well for adult fundraisers, charity drives, mission trips, community groups, and corporate team challenges. The challenges adapt — push-ups for sports teams, scripture memorization for youth groups, books read for classrooms, miles run for cross-country, service hours for scouts, etc.
What if I don't see a challenge that fits my group?
You can create custom challenges from the challenge library. Pick the unit (reps, miles, minutes, hours, books, verses, etc.), write a brief description, and you're set. We're also always open to adding more templates — email us with what you'd like to see.
How do participants submit their work?
Each participant gets a personal link via email. They tap it, log in (no app store install needed — it's a web app), pick a challenge, record a short video, and submit. The submission lands in your review queue. AI verifies it automatically when possible, and you approve, reject, or adjust anything AI can't confirm with one tap. Approved submissions roll up to the leaderboard.
How do supporters donate to my Camp?
We generate a unique QR code and personal link for each participant. You can download printable flyers (with their name, photo, and code) or share the codes digitally. Supporters scan, pick any dollar amount, and pay through Stripe. The money goes to your organization — earn²keep takes zero cut of any donation. Stripe charges its own card-processing fee (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per donation) directly; that's the only deduction from the gross amount. Most groups have participants share with parents, grandparents, neighbors, coworkers, and church friends — the natural circles where they'd normally sell candy bars.

Note: this applies to Camps. Tournaments are funded by per-team Entry Fees paid by joining teams to the host, not by supporter donations.
When does the money arrive?
For a Camp, supporter donations are processed via Stripe at the moment each donation is made. For a Tournament, per-team Entry Fees are collected from joining team organizers when each team registers, and net amounts (less only Stripe's card-processing fee) settle to the Host Organizer's payout account. Funds settle to your organization's payout account on Stripe's standard schedule (typically 2 business days after each transaction is processed).
Who handles the prize money?

earn²keep is a marketplace platform — we facilitate the competition but we do not hold or distribute prize money. Every Host Organizer connects their own payment account, and money settles directly to that account.

For Tournaments, when the event resolves, the winning team takes the pot of Entry Fees. The Host Organizer pays the winning team's organizer directly from their organization's bank account (check, wire transfer, or any other method they choose). earn²keep does not transfer prize money to winners.

For Camps, the Host Organizer distributes the prize gift cards or rewards they configured when the event completes, from the funds raised. earn²keep does not purchase or mail prizes.

Before joining a Tournament or contributing to a Camp, you're encouraged to confirm prize payment terms and timing directly with the Host Organizer. Disputes over prize payment are between the Host Organizer and the recipient — not us.

What if a participant records something wrong or fakes a rep count?
That's exactly why every submission is video-verified. AI does a first-pass check, and you review anything it can't confirm. If something looks off — bad camera angle, claimed 50 reps but the video only shows 20 — you can adjust the count or reject with a note. Participants see your feedback and can re-record.

For Players

Do I need to download an app?
No. earn²keep runs in any browser on any phone. Your organizer sends you a link, you tap it, and you're in. You can optionally save it to your home screen for one-tap access, but it's never required.
What do I actually do?
Your organizer picks the challenges (push-ups, scripture, books, miles, whatever). You record a short video of yourself doing the activity, tell the app how many reps you did, and submit. AI verifies it when possible, and your organizer reviews anything AI can't confirm. Approved submissions earn points on the leaderboard — and in a Camp, your supporters donate to back your cause.
How private is my video?
Your submission videos are private to you and your organizer. They're not posted publicly, not shown on a feed, not shareable as links. Only people with explicit access to your organization's review queue can see them.
I'm under 13. Can I use earn²keep?
With a parent or guardian's permission, yes. We follow COPPA rules for users under 13 — see our Children's Privacy notice for details. Your organizer (or your parent) will be the one managing your account on the back end.

For Supporters (Camp Only)

How do I donate?
Scan the QR code (or open the link) the participant shared with you. Pick any dollar amount that feels right. Enter your payment info. That's it. We'll send you a receipt and you can follow along as the participant earns badges, completes challenges, and climbs the leaderboard.
When am I charged?
You're charged the moment you confirm your donation. One-time, no subscription, no recurring billing.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — see our refund policy. Donations are refundable within 30 days for any reason. After 30 days, refunds are case-by-case. Email support@earn2keep.com and we'll work with you.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Depends on whether the organization you're supporting is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. earn²keep itself isn't a charity — we're the platform. If you need tax documentation, ask the organization you donated to directly.
